Around the world, racist discourses, attitudes, and practices have moved from the fringes into the mainstream, putting core democratic values under pressure. Familiar racial orders have resurfaced and reinforced racist borders, both metaphorical and material. The sixth annual conference of the Amsterdam Centre for Globalisation Studies (ACGS), including the workshop, is an invitation to examine how forms, discourses, and practices of racism have materialized in various institutional contexts.

You can register to the Workshop through the link below. The workshop will take place at the University of Amsterdam on October 16, 2019. The opening will take place at the Belle van Zuylenzaal, University Library (Singel 425, Amsterdam).
This event is organized by the Amsterdam Centre for Globalisation Studies (ACGS) at the University of Amsterdam and the Collaborative Research Center Dynamics of Security at the Universities of Giessen and Marburg, Germany.
